Urban Design

APD-U’s urban design work functions as the bridge between planning and development. APD-U designs for urban residential neighborhoods, commercial, cultural, and business districts. Our approach includes the preservation of neighborhood character through creating site plans and standard architectural elements, promoting existing landscape design features, and incorporating walkability as a fundamental element of a healthy community. We work closely with our clients and resident stakeholders throughout the design process through the use of charrettes, visual preference surveys and community meetings to strengthen the connectivity of cities, one neighborhood at a time.
