Project Scope
APD-U began this work as a project with Thadani Architects + Urbanists in the Westside Future Fund’s Land Use Action Plan. The Land Use Action Plan is a design and implementation strategy to revitalize the Westside community of Atlanta, in partnership with the City’s Department of Planning and Community Development, the Westside Future Fund developed a Land Use Framework Plan to guide future development.
Our Work
APD-U was tasked to lead community engagement and the creation of Land Use Framework Plan which includes coordinating a monthly series of week-long public and stakeholders’ meetings for the six targeted areas of Mims Park, AUC, Ashview Heights, English Avenue, Vine City and Castleberry Hill. The public engagement includes extensive stakeholder meetings, and a dozen community meetings in a 7 month process. APD-U also managed and executed the successful adoption of the plan by the City of Atlanta.
