Project Scope
APD provided technical assistance to the City of South Bend in developing disposition and implementation strategies for South Bend’s Vacant and Abandoned Properties Initiative. The outcomes of the technical assistance included: increase the use of best practices and evaluation tools for program implementation, increase capacity to address gaps in disposition and implementation strategies, increase partner capacity for program management, implementation and compliance.
Our Work
APD created a draft implementation plan that consisted of a decision-making matrix, detailed recommendations for prioritizing the appropriate number and mix of demolition, rehab and new infill construction units. In addition, APD provided CDC Capacity Building Strategies and a Disposition Program.
