Project Scope
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Housing Partnership procured APD Urban Planning & Management LLC to assist with facilitating a visioning charrette. This contract allowed APD-U to provide their expertise in community development and project implementation to work with the community to bring forth implementable visioning recommendations with broad community support.
Our Work
APD-U’s work included reviewing relevant plans and studies, conducting key stakeholder focus groups, neighborhood tours, and facilitation of a visioning charrette with key stakeholders. Recommendations drew from initial neighborhood plans. APD-U also provided guidelines and recommendations for continued community engagement efforts that serve to achieve community buy-in and support for the efforts that further the vision of Druid Hills. The recommendations with implementable action steps were presented to the community at a town hall meeting.
