Biography

Ben is a Real Estate Development Associate and Analyst at APD Urban Planning and Management. Before he arrived at APD-U, Ben spent nearly a decade in real estate sales, focusing on the metro Atlanta residential market. During his time in sales, Ben became well-versed in contract negotiation, market analysis, marketing, and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders and other industry professionals. To be successful, Ben used his knowledge of the residential real estate market, ability to connect with diverse backgrounds, eagerness to listen intently to the client’s needs, and provide sound guidance that allowed the client to make informed decisions.

Ben displayed his passion for consumer education by organizing multiple workshop series for potential homeowners to learn the details of the buying process and home maintenance tips. Ben has also served his local Realtor association’s Governmental Affairs committee to advocate for homeowner rights across multiple municipalities.

Ben’s philanthropic endeavors are centered around youth education. Since 2017, Ben has volunteered with Junior Achievement of Georgia in multiple capacities at their BizTown and Finance Park. These interactive “towns” are designed to teach financial literacy, community development, and entrepreneurship starting at the middle school level. Ben is a candidate for a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Urban Planning and Economic Development at Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy. He continues to challenge his abilities and improve on diverse work-related experiences. Ben’s professional goals include creating pathways to equitable ownership for all citizens through education and innovative planning methods in underrepresented neighborhoods.
